Company History
In 1970, R. H. Bettag founded a manufacturer's sales rep agency under the name of Bettag & Associates, Inc. which specialized in refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers, freezers and similar equipment. Shortly after, the agency became a leader in its field, performing processes such as engineering, equipment sizing, and installation. The Bettag & Associates name is still well known today by wholesalers across the country in the refrigeration trade.
Having many years of experience in the refrigeration trade, R. H. Bettag realized a specific need in the field. Eight years later in 1978, RDM Products Division was born to take care of the need for quality enclosures for outdoor condensing units. At that time a contract manufacturer made Con-Pak® condensing unit covers to our specifications. Soon after other products followed: Thermatex® insulation tapes, electrical tape, caulking compounds, and also refrigeration oil and like by-products under the RDM Products name.
In 1985 after many years of growth, it became apparent that it was time to evolve and expand. RDM Products started its first manufacturing plant with a leased 5,000-sq. ft. building. A year later we added 3,000-sq. ft. and four years later in 1990 we purchased our current location with 16,000 sq. ft.
Through these years there were many changes. The Con-Pak® was redesigned; other products were added or dropped. All of these changes have transformed RDM Products to the manufacturer it is today.
Recently, RDM Products expanded its facility to 30,000 sq. ft. Our entire plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of the Con-Pak® units and also custom manufacturing for other manufacturers.
We find ourselves with this capability through not only the loyalty of our customers, but also our employees.
We strive to provide our employees with the most up-to-date technologies. Our plant personnel and support staff have taken this technology and expanded our capabilities with their individuality. Our personnel are dedicated to quality, on-time service and expanded thinking.
With these strengths and our dedication, RDM Products will continue throughout the 21st century to provide our customers with not only products in the refrigeration trade, but also in the retail and custom manufacturing trades as well.
